APACHE was designed as a natural form of progression from the highly successful 30' IROQUOIS in 1969 by Rod Macalpine-Downie. Basically similar in styling the APACHE is the ultimate in production cruising catamarans. APACHE is available with sloop, cutter or ketch rig. You can choose the rig to suit your kind of sailing. Her deck layout is both practical and attractive with plenty of space left for just lying in the sun. Like all the SAIL CRAFT cruising boats only the best equipment is fitted using the top trade names and highest specification stainless steel for all of the rigging, deck fittings, bottlescrews, pulpit, stanchions and silver anodised mast and boom. The teak wheel and upholstered pedestal helmsmans seat provides easy vision to all quarters whilst navigation instruments, two-speed mainsheet winch and single lever engine controls are easily to hand. The genoa is controlled by a single three-speed winch mounted at the rear of the cockpit. A folding helmsmans canopy is offered as an option to protect the helmsman and on-watch crew from foul weather.

Auxiliary power can either be with twin out-drive diesels or a single engine with twin hydraulic propcllors independently controlled. Engine sizes can range from 30 - 75 HP singles or twins as described.

APACHE's interior layout offers four private double staterooms, three saloon berths and a huge shower and w.c. compartment with second w.c. (optional). The galley is extremely spacious and well designed ergonomically using full size household fitments. Pressurised hot and cold water to the shower and all basins is a standard part of the specification. The saloon arrangements can seat up to 10 comfortably and still leave enough space for a full-size chart table and navigation area. Teak woodwork is used throughout which, coupled with the fabric, soft furnishings and shag pile carpet, completes the air of luxurious and spacious living.
